It’s quiet in the office right now.
Geese are making their sounds, the vinegar is running through the coffee pot. It’s serene, beautiful, and somewhat melancholy. I worry about turning music on, doing anything to disrupt the calm I’m feeling in here.
Soon the day will fully commence with the noise that the start of it brings; People talking, phones ringing raised voices, hushed voices, politics and questions.
But right now it’s quiet, and it’s just me here alone, filling the space with the sound of my typing.
I know this moment is fleeting, but I’ll be happy if it stays a little bit longer.
